conf destroyed - rebuild possible?

Hi,

i got a really untypical Problem. one of my vms config file is destroyed. its emtpy.
My question is, is it possible to parse the VM-Process-parameters into a config file?

Hi,

if you have a backup you can restore the config from the backup.

Yes it is possible to restore the config from the process but this is a manual task.

ok - how can i do this, without restoring the whole vm?

You can extract it on the GUI.

select the backup and then hit the button Show Configuration

or use the command line tool

pvesm help extractconfig

Hi,
if you use "ps -aux | grep kvm" you see the processes and can build from this the new config.

Use the search function - I had wrote something about that a long time ago.
