I have proxmox 6.4.13 and for now i have no option to upgrade it to new releases but i want to try proxmox backup server. 6.4.13 do have "proxmox backup server" in "storages". But what version proxmox backup server should i use? its only 1.* branch or 2.*? And if it possible (and how to) install it on lxc?

So even PBS 3.x should work, although some features (most notably namespaces) won't work.
Note that PVE 6.x is EOL since 2022 and you should upgrade as soon as possible: https://pve.proxmox.com/pve-docs/chapter-pve-faq.html#faq-support-table
