Cluster possibility?

Hi,

I am currently looking to use proxmox for my cluster but i have some consernes..

can i put all the cpu power, memory power on a single pool so for exemple i can use 4core on one node and 2core on an other node and for memory i use 4GB on 1 node and 1GB on an other node. is it something possible?

PS: if there is some documentation on the subject i would like to know please. i am fairly new to clustering

I'm not sure if your question is really regarding the Proxmox Mail Gateway - but if yes:
* check the minimal system requirements in the reference documentation (1G ram is too little for clamav) - https://pmg.proxmox.com/pmg-docs/pmg-admin-guide.html#system_requirements
(The requirements are for _each_ installed node - not for the complete cluster)

The nodes don't need to have the same specs - but depending on your use-case in generally all of them should be able to handle the same amount of mails...

thank you for the replie but unfortunatly its not about the Mail Gateway. its more about building a normal cluster. For exemple, if i have 2 CPU with 4 cores and 4 thread each. can i start a vm that needs 5 cores and 6 threads. is it something proxmox can do?
