I would like some information on configuring proxmox backup server.
1 - For optimal operation is it necessary to have two disks dedicated to the operating system and at least two disks dedicated to the datastore?
2 - The disks that I mount on the server must necessarily be SSD or can I also use 10K SAS disks?
3 - I have to backup 2 / 3 virtual machines, the system is working only to backup a single proxmox ve server.
4 - I read that there is an agent to make backups of centos machines as well, but is there an agent to be able to make backups of some folders of windows clients on the local network?

I always talk about a configuration to be put into production and not a test one.

Thanks in advance for the clarifications

PBS doesnt have Windows agents yet. You can install OMV & PBS on a single server though (install OMV first) and have a hybrid NAS/PBS applicance.

10K SAS & 7.2K SATA isnt worth it, especially since SATA SSD has really dropped in price lately.

Can you give me a technical opinion on the characteristics of this server where I would like to put PROXMOX VE ?
- SERVER : Dell PowerEdge R750xs - Server - rack mountable - 2U - 2-way - 1 x Xeon Silver 4314 / 2.4 GHz - RAM 32 GB - Matrox G200 - GigE, 10 GigE
- 2 TYPE HD : Dell - HDD - 2 TB - hot swap - 3.5" - SAS 12Gb/s - NL - 7200 rpm - for PowerEdge C6420 (3.5"); NX3240 storage

Do you think the discs are okay? Is the hardware compatible?
