Chunks file deleted after server restart

Hello,

I have my PBS installed alongside Proxmox host. Backups been working great, but after a maintenance restart, the Chunks file seem to have dissapeared. The backups are/were stored on a ZFS-dataset, which is still there and the pool is reported as healthy, no problems at all. The dataset refer virtually no data at all.

I find no trace in logs of what might've happened. Any ideas?

You should check if the dataset is mounted: zfs get mounted
Did you maybe disable atime? As far as I understand without atime working it could happen that PBSs GC will remove all backups because a prune can't mark the chunks as still needed.
You could also check if the PVE backup job retention or the PBS datastore retention is set to not keep any backups.

Thank you for your reply!

Firstly, the dataset is showing as mounted and atime is activated. The retention is set to keep several last, hourly, daily and weekly.
