Change VMID - Change on the backup store possible?

Hi,

I plan to change on my pve Hosts the vmid of the current VMs. It is for tidy up,...
The change on pve isn't the problem, but is there the possibility to change the ID on the backupserver too?

Otherwise after the change on pve is the assignment to the backup gone,...

no, this is not really supported at the moment. you can put the datastore into read maintenance mode, and then manually move the backup group (e.g., 'vm/100' to 'vm/200'), then remove the maintenance mode again. but you can also leave the old groups around, it's only the next round of backups of renamed guests that will take a bit longer, the data will still be de-duplicated server-side.
