Hi guys, Is there a way to change the Bus type IDE to Virtio, I create my VM but i used IDE :( and I need better performance, but I don't want to install a new VM to fix my mistake.

Regards

What OS you are installed? Linux or Windows? On Linux it is easy. Change the fstab, then change the bustype. Ready.

On Windows for some month i've done some test. It is a little bit strange, but you can change the bustype without problems. Once, only once. Change it to virtion and it work, change it back to IDE Bluescreen Windows death. But first, add an hdd with virtion and install the driver. Then change the bootdisk.

Ok Let me download the driver you said,
But the bus type where i can change it, because after i installed the drivers in my 1gb disk then i need to change the bustype in my first Disk.

Regards,

1) poweroff VM
2) In hardware tab highlight disk in question and click remove. Disk will now be marked as unused
3) Double-click newly disk marked unused from 2) and choose preferred Bus/Device and press OK
4) If disk is boot disk the remember to change boot order under options tab

Thanks Guys, I did it,

Now I have my virtio Disk and my Ethernet with virtio drivers, working great

Regards!!!!
