Hello everyone,

I have a problem with my proxmox host iso storage and I dont know what to do anymore.
So everytime i try to upload an iso image to my local storage it seems that at around 35 40% just drops the connection it just says that it timed out for some reason, and in some cases i even lose connection to the web interface, i ve tryed to upload the iso via scp and the same thing around that mark it just tells me that the connection timed out.
I mention that this problem has kept solving itself in the past out of nowhere, and worked fine.
Open to any suggestions !!

Thank you !!

Hi @wARNING

thanks for posting on the forum!

Is your machine directly connected to the server or is there some sort of firewall / router etc. in between?
How is the storage layout of your target storage, i.e. is it an ext4 storage or something different?
How much space is left on the root disk? You can use df -h to check this.

Best regards
Jonas

I am not talking about a vm inside the host, i am talking about the local storage on the host, and not trying to upload it to cluster data that is linked to my host because is almost full.

Ok so storage wise everything seems fine.
Just to be sure, how big is the ISO you are trying to upload?

Can you please try to upload the ISO again and provide the output from the Task and additionally the output of the journal.
Code:
journalctl --since="2026-MM-DD hh:mm" --until="2026-MM-DD hh:mm" | gzip > $(hostname)-journal.txt.gz
Please adapt the timestamps accordingly.

Best regards
Jonas

the ISO file is 7.6GB
