[SOLVED] Can't restore files / VMs after moving backups to another Server

Hi,

I have a cluster running PVE and backing up data to a Proxmox Backup Server since the very beginning of Proxmox Backup Server.
Now I have replaced the old backup hardware with a new one. I did set up everything from scratch and synced the data from the old backup server to the new one. So far everything works out, I can backup / verify data etc.

The only thing is that old backups are not restorable:

proxmox-file-restore failed: Error: wrong key - unable to verify signature since manifest's key xxxx does not match provided key yyy (500)

Did I miss anything when moving the backups?

it seems you changed the encryption key used by the client-side (PVE)? did you keep a copy of the old one?
