Can't leave cluster from exo-node

I had a 2-server cluster when I decided to wipe and reset the node that the cluster was hosted on(was having a lot of problems that only a hard wipe would fix) and now I cant get the 2nd node off of the old cluster and onto the new one and on top of that I cant login to the web interface from the 2nd node. I tried joining through command line and just get an error that says I'm already in a cluster. I can't delete the /etc/pve/corosync.conf file either because, even as root, I don't have permission.

EDIT: Web interface works now but I still cant leave the old cluster(at least not entirely) and joining the new one from the web interface still results in errors.

Have you tried following the steps outlined in the documentation for separating a node in a cluster [1]? This should be what you are searching for, since joining another cluster should then be no problem afterwards.
