Can't boot after installing Windows on another disk

I recently installed a new NVMe SSD on my computer and installed Windows 10 on it. I can successfully boot into Windows by selecting the new disk as the boot drive during startup.

However, when I choose the old disk (which has Proxmox Virtual Environment installed) as the boot drive, I notice that while the bootloader works, PVE fails to launch. An error message appears on my screen:

Code:
pve nuke: can't remove '/dev': Directory mot empty

Any ideas on how to fix this?

IMHO, Proxmox isn't really designed to be dual-booted with Windows - it's more of a dedicated-boot hypervisor. Not saying you can't (I do this on a laptop with 2xSSD, but the primary role is a cluster node - and Windoze was installed 1st), however - if you get weirdness like this it's likely the fault of Windows not being a good neighbor.

Try removing/disconnecting the Windows disk and booting Proxmox. If it still doesn't boot, you may need to backup your configs and reinstall. You may also want to consider investing in something like a Samsung T7 and installing PVE on that instead.

Whenever installing another bare-metal OS on the same computer that you wish to still optionally boot with the old OS setup/drive - you should disconnect the other drive/s while doing the install. Windows installer/bootloader is known to often write to other drives. You can later reconnect all the drives.
