cannot enter console root password keymap problem?

I can't enter root password on the console as the keyboard appears to have the wrong map? Some keys are not typing correctly however ssh works fine. This is an install right from the proxmox cd

please help this is not good

Fixed thanks for your reply, just out of curiosity which keyboard is set for the console by default?

the ISO installer detects your location - based on your IP address - and set the keyboard and timezone automatically.

but this works only if you get an IP from an DHCP server during installation, otherwise you have to set it manually during the installation wizard - in fact its a very cool feature and as I installed already thousands of PVE installations in my life this feature saved a lot of life time.
