Morning all,

I'm get a task errror when I'm trying to create a container based on the provided Ubuntu 22.10 image. A container based on either 22.04 or archlinux works beautifully. However a 22.04 install followed by do-release-upgrade fails.

The actual task error message is:
"TASK ERROR: unable to create CT 104 - unsupported Ubuntu version '22.10'"

My Environment:
Proxmox Version: 7.2-11 (no outstanding updates / dist upgrades)
Kernel Version: 5.15.60-2-pve
Pveam update run
Ubuntu image: ubuntu-22.10-standard_22.10-1_amd64.tar.zst

Task Log:
Code:
Logical volume "vm-104-disk-0" created.

Total bytes read: 511242240 (488MiB, 162MiB/s)
Detected container architecture: amd64
  Logical volume "vm-104-disk-0" successfully removed
TASK ERROR: unable to create CT 104 - unsupported Ubuntu version '22.10'

Have also checked for disk space problems (none there either).

Anyone have any ideas as to why the build would be failing?

TIA,
Justin

You need latest version of pve-container (4.2-3), the package is not yet in the enterprise repo (but already in pve-no-subscription).

Code:
pve-container (4.2-3) bullseye; urgency=medium

  * fix #4164: use DHCP=yes instead of DHCP=both in systemd-networkd config

  * apply pending mountpoint: also hotplug non-volume mount points

  * support Ubuntu 22.10 Kinetic Kudu

We will move/update to enterprise repo within the next days.
