Can I use external mail filter?

What exactly do you mean by an "external" mail filter?

my boss chose this system without asking me. I do not like it, it is not convenient to manage. I wanted to use proxmox as the main filter and use this system as a joke.
Can I put this system on one server with proxmox by correcting the configuration file main.cf?
 
The Proxmox Mail Gateway is mail proxy, so you can send all filtered emails to the next server - this can be also a second gateway.
