[SOLVED] can i expand\adding storage

now i am planning to buy a new server dedicated to pbs, to backup around 50-100 vms
we keep growing, and i would like to add storage on demand..

can i easily add storage to the main backup pool?

You can add more vdevs to a pool or replace existing disks one by one with resilvering them in between until all of them are exchanged for the larger disks.

If you add more vdevs to a pool you should not mix different vdev types (mirror and raidz for example). Also ZFS won't do a rebalance so the older vdevs will be fuller.
