cache vm hard disk

hello guys, i've a question; i've a VM with windows 10, and hdd cache is off on it. If i want to increase speed performance of this VM, can i switch on cache parameter on it ( write back ? write through? ) without formating windows 10 ?

Please enable write back + discard option and make sure Qemu agent is enabled in windows
