I want create a bonding in my PROXMOX environment.

Question:
I need create or use in the switch a etherchannel with LACP? Or simple i create the bonding via web interface?

if you just want a active/passive failover bond, it can be done without configuring the switch

Any other type of bond needs switch configuration

Hi i understand.
In the type of bonding be must set LACP? I have other more options.

the bonding has to match on both sides, so if you set LACP on proxmox side, switch must be same, also look for passive and active mode
