Hey all,

Is it possible to bond 2 10GbE ports in Proxmox using LACP and use that bond in a vmbr to add to my Windows Server VM? When I try this the adapter in Windows still says 10GbE instead of 20GbE.
I know I need to also aggregate the ports on my switch and have done so.

Thanks.

Yes its always 10Gbit/s some times also duplex for ONE Connection.
a second Connection can also get 10Gbit/s, duplex, so you get 2x 10Gbit/s für two connections.
Samba has a "new" feature, that you can get 2 times the trough put with a second IPv4 on the same IP Subnet without!

That's what I did, only 10G in Windows instead of 20.
it's only cosmetic and expected as NIC is virtual.
virtio network speed is bounded to your CPU and can do 50 Gb/s and more if you have fast CPU.
btw, bond/LACP do 2x10 Gb/s and not 1x20 Gb/s : you can do 2 x iperf3 @ 10 Gb/s at same time but not 1 x iperf3 @ 20 Gb/s.
