Hello,

On a bmax4 mini-PC (n100), running Proxmox, I installed a Debian VM (not LXC) to run Jellyfin under Proxmox, with an 8GB RAM allocation.

It worked fine, but for a week now, I haven't been able to play my videos in 1080p, usually in hvec.h264.

I've tried several changes to the transcoding (QSV, Vaapi, none) but nothing works.

Did I miss something?

Are there additional drivers to install on the Debian or other platform?

Sorry if I'm posting on the wrong forum.

Thank you for your help.

did you passthrough the igpu or setup a way to use SR-IOV vGPU profiles to enable the vm to be capable of using the GPU at all? i believe the N100 does support it, so that might be something to look into if you have not.

here is an example of one of the guide pages for getting SR-IOV on the intel 12th gen CPUs (you can find many more like it):
Intel Gen 12 vGPU (SR-IOV) on Proxmox

but that is just if you want QSV transcoding to function, as for the rest. if it was working and now is not working then that seems like another problem entirely, it is hard to say for sure why it would just stop working, things do not usually just stop working something always causes it on linux at least lol, usually it is most commonly because something was updated, it lost file permissions, something is full and it cannot write to the right disk, etc.
