Best kernel for KVM only?

As some may remember I had a problem trying to get asterisk dahdi driver working under the host node (the driver would panic.) Sangoma told me it was likely due to the openvz patched kernel. For various other reasons, I am only running KVM now anyway, so which is the best kernel for that (currently on default 32 kernel.) If I am not going to ever do openvz, is there a need to even run a pve kernel? Or does that provide other magic?

Okay. On the other hand, the repository has kernel images that are not pve. Those have no guarantees then? I suppose if not, I will just stay on the 32 kernel...

our repository has only pve kernels - or do you talk about the debian repo´s?

and yes, we do not do ANY test against non-pve kernels.

I think I just got confused reading the output of aptitude search. I see things like ' pve-kernel-2.6.32-4-pve', which is what I have installed, but there are other not-installed packages like ' linux-image-2.6-amd64'. I thought maybe those were non-pve kernels, I guess not.
