Hi!

We're new in Proxmox, and we are stuck when trying to backup any of existing virtual machines on Proxmox with Vinchin backup software. We are getting error message: " [ERROR: 339#json string invalid]: exception: Value is not convertible to Int64" for any vm backup we try to run.
We are having other virtualization environments, and Vinchin backup is running fine with all of them. Problem is shown when trying to backup vm's on Proxmox only.

Do you have any idea what could be the reason?

Thank you in advance and best regards,
Igor

Hallo,
As I know, you are using v8.1. I guess them(Vinchin) already supported v8.1. Maybe contact their officical team?

sales@vinchin.com or technical.support@vinchin.com

I've tested it works well in my lab :);)

Hi,

I'm running on Promox 8.1.4 and we are currently testing Vinchin and encourtering the exactly same issue.
I already send a request to Vinchin support without any answer at the moment.
Could you please share patch/fix with us?

Thank you

The question I ask myself:
Why do people one year later still run into this, if there is a patch respectively updated version already available since one year?
Or other phrased:
Why do people one year later (seemingly) still not get the patched/updated version?

Especially if one assumes, that there are generally several version updates within a year, if this product is under active development at all...

The real question I have is how propietary Software ever managed to get it's "enterprise-grade" status if things like Veams de-facto beta-status of their Proxmox support or Vinchin "we have a Patch but don't release it to All customers" are typical? Are the polished UI and managment-apeasing features really worth it?
