Backup job is stuck and I cannot stop it or even kill it

If you just reboot one (best to reset, because on reboot, the hanging process can still not be killed), it should not be a problem, 3 out of 4 is still quorated.
One server is out because of the aforementioned error, another will be out for the duration of the reboot. I will add 2 votes for a node temporarily to make sure quorum is maintained during this time.

After trying to fix the broken Proxmox node for what felt like an entire day, a simple reboot of my NAS (i.e. the NFS server) fixed the PVE node. The only reason I realised is that even mount -a was timing out. I don't really know what I'd log as a bug, but I feel like a broken storage mount shouldn't necessarily cause an entire PVE node to fall into ??? state. Even the proxmox storage manager command line tool would just hang.

Unfortunately, weird things can happen if you have a hanging NFS share and it is NOT a PVE problem, it's a general Linux problem, don't know about the BSDs, never had such a setup there.

This fixed everything without a reboot, it is strange that the problem persists in proxmox 8:
Code:
qm unlock "vm id"
umount /mnt/pve/"mount name"

Hello, i have de some problem. Proxmox vzdump don't stop. i try to kill process (kill -9 <id>), but nothing. I tried the vzdump -stop command but I get the error that it can't stop the process
The problem occurs when a Samba is backed up and there is an interruption on that Samba. However, the processor has an i/o delay of 2%. I kept searching on google, the only solution found refers to the reboot of proxmox. Unfortunately I can't restart the proxmox.
Any idea

Besides reboot? You can try to lazy unmount and then remount it to get the mount working again, but for the hanging process ... sadly, no.
The process is most likely stuck in a D state (uninterruptible sleep), which is common if you work on a network device like NFS or SMB/CIFS and the server goes offline.

Yeah, sorry, in the end i migrated all vm's to another machine in a cluster and restarted the pc.
