I'm running Version 2.2-32/3089a616
I have backups going to a couple of different drives (one local, one NAS). The NAS drive filled up and so all backups of course failed. I deleted the files on the backup and was able to backup one VM without errors, but the other VM fails.

I'd read that sometimes when this happens you must unlock the VM so I logged into the machine and entered the qm unlock 100 command. There was no response so I guess it unlocked it? However the backup still fails.

How do I fix this?

looks like you run out of snapshot space. the forum is full with similar threads, search (e.g. for vzdump.conf)

I agree. I did. but I've since deleted all the backups and now have plenty of space, but it still errors. I'm sure the original cause was a full HDD, but how do I get it backing up again now that there's space available?

You need to increase the lvm snapshot size (not the free space on the target).

How do I change the snapshot size? I don't see a setting for that in the GUI. I looked in my vzdump.conf file (below) and it doesn't have a size specified which I assume means no limit other than the drive space?

*******************************
# vzdump default settings

#tmpdir: DIR
#dumpdir: DIR
#storage: STORAGE_ID
#mode: snapshot|suspend|stop
#bwlimit: KBPS
#ionice: PRI
#lockwait: MINUTES
#stopwait: MINUTES
#size: MB
#maxfiles: 5
#script: FILENAME
#exclude-path: PATHLIST

Ah! It doesn't say that. It just says MB with no value. Sounds like a feature improvement for another release.
