What are those errors? I have not tried to recover from backup and I am not certain what to do
Any ideas? :(

V2.1-14/f32f3f46

I expect you run out of snapshot space.

Upgrade to latest 2.3, then the backup should stop with an error in such a case.
See http://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Downloads#Update_a_running_Proxmox_Virtual_Environment_2.x_to_latest_2.3

Are you saying that that I don't have enough disk space?
The volume that the backup is supposed to be saved in has 148GB available. The VM itself has a disk of 110GB, and the backup operation is doing gzip compression. Aren't all those enough to take a backup?

Regarding the update I would have done it if I was 100% certain that nothing will go wrong. What are the odds that the system might not boot after the update and restart? I have not had a system update since 205 days now... and from 2.1-14 to 2.3 is quite far... :(

No, I talk about snapshot space (LVM). search the forum, there are hundreds post about this topic.
