Dear community,

I am not using the ISO to setup proxmox, I setup Debian the way I like, then I install proxmox on top of it.

I built a simple script to install basic utilities, programs, configure the system, and then install proxmox, however, during the proxmox setup, samba get installed as well and pops up questions about keeping or overriding the configuration, I had to be there to press Enter.

Is there away to run the proxmox setup on newly Debian setup without answering any question, another word automate/Unattended way?

I forgot to screenshot to show you the question am talking about, however, I was able to grab a copy from the internet, it's in Spanish but you will know what am talking about.

I wish we can add unattended setup information to this page https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Install_Proxmox_VE_on_Debian_Buster

I stumbled on this page, which is slightly different of what am trying to accomplish, but is still valid for current proxmox?
https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Unattended_installation_of_Proxmox

Your time is highly appreciated; I look forward for your generous help at your earliest convenience.

Imad

that prompt is a debconf question. you can either preseed the answer (with debconf-set-selections), reduce the priority for which questions are asked (dpkg-reconfigure debconf) or make a single apt command always use the default value (set DEBIAN_FRONTEND=noninteractive).
