Auto migrate on cluster node high load?

It is very great news about PVE 8.2 realeased with its ESXi import feature.


May I please ask when it can be possible to see feature of auto migration of VMs from overloaded PVE nodes in cluster? This is something that's very useful on vCenter cluster.

It looks like there's a lot of work ahead. When can we expect this feature (auto migrate)? Dynamic loaded VMs would be much useful if we could arrange and reorganize them in a meaningful way not once at start but over time.

P.S. Say, running developer VMs is a pain without this feature.

we don't give ETAs on such big features, they usually either don't hold or would require shipping half-broken things to make the deadline, neither of which we want.

usually, the more concrete the design and then implementation gets, the more information you will see in all our channels. we do develop things in the open, so if you are really interested, you can subscribe to our devel lists or take a look at the list archives.
