Anyone using LSI Logic MegaRaid 9260 ???

HI Proxmox.

We normally are using Adaptec 5805 controllers but after getting a much
better price on LSI logic MegaRaid 9260 i was wondering if someone has
some kind of experience with it ???

I like the Adaptec 5805Z series! no issues with dead batteries anymore. I never used this LSI controller, but I assume it will work.
(Take also a look on the management tools for the LSI - is there something similar to ASM?)

I've installed Proxmox in a Fujitsu TX200 with raid5 sas that seems to use that controller:
lspci states:
01:00.0 RAID bus controller: LSI Logic / Symbios Logic LSI MegaSAS 9260 (rev 04)
Subsystem: Fujitsu Technology Solutions Device 1176
...
Kernel driver in use: megaraid_sas
Kernel modules: megaraid_sas
You are lucky that now proxmox has 2.6.32 kernel, because with previous kernels (2.6.18 and 2.6.24) was NOT recognized (I had to use an experimental version of 2.6.32, now of course happily upgraded to the "stable" one of proxmox).
No problems so far, but the server is gone to "production" just some days ago... time will tell

Hi mmenaz.

I just have one to test and i only have a little problem ...
Have you managed to get the MegaCli up working correctly...

When i for instance run this command on the controller

MegaCli -AdpAllInfo -aALL is got this annoying messages

OSSpecificInitialize: Failed to load libsysfs.so.2.0.2 Please ensure that libsfs is present in the system.
The dependent library libsysfs.so.2.0.1 not available. Please contact LSI for distribution of the package

Sorry, I've no idea of what "MegaCli" is (ok, now I've google for it), never used, nor I have anymore the system to test it.
