Any Suggestions on Proxmox 9.0 VM Settings for Minecraft / Game Servers?

So I'm going be installing Proxmox 9 today on my Ultra 9 285k, 128gig with 2x 4tb nvme's (gen 4). Yes I know only guy left in the world using Intel /s.

I normally just use default everything.

1) It's my hardware in my home
2) I don't plan on ever migrating VM's even though I have other servers I always do a fresh install of the VM's.
3) I like to try provide the best performance I can for Modded GTNH Server (heaviest of the modpacks with lots of users).
4) Very heavy 1 thread type operation. I give it more then 1 as it uses more than one, but 99% of the work will ending up being a single thread (the way MC works)

Any suggestions outside default vm options would be great. I think it runs decent on default settings, but if there is a tip or trick I can learn to give it even a couple more percent in performance I will take it.

So … it's been 1.5 months since you posted this, but I just saw it.

Did you et something set up?

If not, pretty much just treat the VM like you would a standalone server (CPU in HOST mode, though), as far as hardware configuration.
I'd start the VM at 4 vCores. Java might only use one, but the OS (and docker if you're using that) need to do work, too. If 4 is overkill, drop it down to 2. (You could maybe try 3 if you're pressed for resources, but I don't know how well Linux likes that).
