Anybody using AMD Opteron 3350 HE?

Specs and price seems very interesting:

Add a motherboard with amd >= 970 chipset and you will have support for IOMMU as well.

Hi mir,
I don't have this kind of cpu but an remark to the motherboards: both are not for ecc-ram.

amd-cpus supports ecc-ram (except Axx) but the MB/bios must this also. I use some of this motherboards.
Drawbacks:
1. you need an additional graphiccard
2. you don't have an ipmi-module
3. "only" 32GB Ram supported
but for some things it's an nice (and reliable) system (like with an fx8350).

I'm using amd quad x opteron 63xx 16cores servers here, without any problem,

but I never use 3350 processor, sorry.

The MBs I mentioned comes without a graphics card and IPMI too.

As this was a suggestion for a home build I can live without ECC RAM.

For enterprise use I would suggest one of the following MBs:
