Hello,
I am seeing what seems to be an odd behavior with my 7900xtx on a Windows 11 VM. I can pass through the GPU without issue to the VM and it is detected in Windows, but there is no actual display output and no display gets detected on any HDMI or Displayport port. I've followed all the passthrough guides and had it working without issue for a long time with other GPUs, so I don't think that is where to look. Also, I can pass the GPU through to a Linux machine, and it works with identical settings. I gamed on it for an hour earlier.
Anyway, I saw somewhere that the Primary GPU checkbox was normally for Nvidia GPUs, which is what I previously had installed and enabled. On a whim, I just checked the box on my AMD card, and it's now working. As such, I'm just curious about what is going on with the Primary GPU functionality. Searching online has not really clarified anything for me.
