AMD 6276 Shows Only 1 CPU

Are you sure? I assume you mix CPU socket count and CPU cores here.

Unless I am missing something, here! Thanks for responding! I swapped with a second processor! Memtest show good processor(s), but Proxmox only shows 1 core, 1 processor! What a bummer! I hope that I am missing something! That means that all VMs can have a max of 1 core, 1 processor! Thanks, Tom ... bt/w ... the final version 5.0 loads immediately (see my Super Micro H8SGL-F post) .... great software! Gonna' load version 5.0 final on the machine that has the AMD 6276 processor in the next few days ,,, if AMD 6276 still shows a single core ... gonna' go back to an AMD 6128 ... they all show 8 cores. I do appreciate any help!

Loaded Version 5.0 Final tonight ... no love ... have another 6128 on order! I fail to understand. I've tried more than one 6276 ... barely runs ... only a couple of simple VMs! Film at eleven.

We use a ubuntu kernel so please boot a live usb stick from Ubuntu 17.04 and see what you get.

Shows same thing ... ... kernel linux ubuntu 4.10.8-19 generic Ubuntu SMP ...shows single core ... single socket! Debian 8 shows same ... Memtest 386 shows correct ... and cpu runs Proxmox 5.0 ... How to find a "correct" kernel for Proxmox 5.0? Help!

Please check the bios setting.
Some boards has a legacy install routine where only 1 core is used.

Thanks for all the thoughts ... here's the deal! Clear the bios! On this board ... 1. Remove power 2. Remove bios battery ... 4. Short bios battery holder "+" & "-" leads together for a few seconds ... 5. Put it all back together ... Power up & reboot computer ... Lo & behold, it works! Dmesg showed that SNP Motherboard is not recognized ... shows 12 cores, now! Thanks to all ... especially Mike at Super Micro technical support ...
