Hi there,
I have a happy humming proxmox installation on Hetzner which works fine on the standard 4 IP address I got as a standard.
x.x.x.199 -> main IP ETH 0
255.255.255.192 -> netmask
x.x.x.193 -> gateway
x.x.x.248 -> vmbr0
255.255.255.248 -> netmask
x.x.x.199 -> gateway
-----
x.x.x.249 -> VPS 1
255.255.255.192 -> netmask
x.x.x.248 -> gateway
x.x.x.250 -> VPS 2
255.255.255.192 -> netmask
x.x.x.248 -> gateway
Now I want to add a new VPS, on a different IP - so I requested a new IP and tried to use it without change to the proxmox install (which worked for the other VPS's - that was before Hetzner issued virtual MAC addresses, so I kept using the standard value for the MAC's).
IP: x.x.x.220
Netmask: 255.255.255.192
Gateway: x.x.x.248
However, I can't get it to work at all. No network is detected in the VPS, and I can't seem to ping the VPS from the host machine either.
Does anybody have any idea what's wrong? Should I ask Hetzner to configure something? Should I configure something myself? Any help would be appreciated!
Greets,
Frank
