I have 2x local HDDs and a iSCSI attached SAN. If I add a new local HDD then I lose connection to the iSCSI disks presumably because the new drive gets the drive name that the SAN should have?
Can anyone give me the steps I need to take to add this new local disk the correct way so I dont lose the SAN?

Thanks,

Please do not use Linux drive names directly. Instead use symbolic links generated by udev (/dev/disk/...).

Hi Dietmar thanks for your reply. Is there a config file or something similar that I need to edit to for the SAN to keep the same drive letter/name so that when I add the new local drive it the SAN isnt lost?

Why don't you use the udev names?
