Dear All,
Please can anyone advise if the following is achievable. We would like to have a single realm connecting to our AD environment, that will import groups from a specific OU, and by association the users in those groups. The aim being that we do not have to specifically filter users and users can perform tasks based on the roles assigned to the groups imported and synced. The users should then be able to sign in to the PVE and perform tasks as per their roles. We are finding that whilst the groups import successfully, and users are shown in the group, no users appear in the user section and nobody is able to log into the pve. If we select to sync "users and groups" rather than just groups, then we end up pulling in the entire AD which is not ideal for us. Using filters on users seems restricted with * wild cards not appearing to work.
So as stated, is this achievable? Apologies if this is a schoolboy error, steep learning curve here, having jumped from the burning ship that is vmware.
Kind Regards
PDC
