acpid: powerbutton don't works

Hello everyone,
If you've ever wanted to ask you to note that even with the new version 1.5 by installing the package acpid is not working the reception / execution by the poweroff button to shut down the server before it worked with 1.4, according to you would depend on what ?
I'm using kernel 2.6.18, and this proves I'm doing with the item's latest ISO released.

describe in detail what you mean, what you installed and what is not working and what power button do you press.

I followed these steps:

aptitude install acpid

done this restart the server proxmox before trying this feature
After the restart, if I press the power button while the system is operational and the proxmox acpid powerbtn should hear the event and start the clean shutdown of the system, but this does not happen, and only with the new version 1.5

I guess kernel 2.6.18 is not compatible with acpid.
