I have this setup running since about April 2026 and I am really happy about it. The system is mainly geared towards single-nodes (e.g. with JBODs attached), and maximum resource efficiency & security best practices/isolation. Particularly the qcow2-linked clones (ZFS) and the virtiofs-mounts with ID-mapping were eye-opening to me.
