Hi All,

We've been chasing an issue where our 3 node cluster (see attached version info) seemingly randomly looses connectivity to the Internet. When this happens multiple VoIP PBXs, a CPanel server, a Unifi server, etc. all loose connectivity to the Internet.

I'm not 100% sure that this is a Proxmox issue rather I wanted to ask what I should be looking for in Proxmox logs, etc. to snif out any issues ... or perhaps best practices to look at as network trafic increases.

thanks all,

James

Hi,

To debug this problem check the following
a.) inspect the syslogs at /var/log/syslog
b.) inspect the kernel ring buffer
Code:
 dmesg
c.) run tcpdump on a physical nic and tap device with a filter that only observe a single VM.

just a side node.
Consider upgrading to Proxmox VE 6.2.[1][2]
Because Proxmox VE 5 is EOL in about two months.[3]
