2x PVE remotely located

I'm avoiding the word cluster in the title because this is not what I'm after (I think).
I have a PVE installation one each of the site (two in total). The Bandwidth is high and latency around 17-23ms.

What I would like to have is to be able to administer either node from either proxmox interface.

Creating a cluster will indeed add the additional node under the datacenter section but I'm worried the keep-alive might be interrupted by a connectivity issue at some point and I would have to "recover" (unless this is very easy and/or can be automated?) I do admit having the replication function would help though.

Any advise on how I should proceed here?

Thanks

There is some work going on in remote administration of separate Proxmox nodes/clusters. Sorry but I can't find the thread that mentions the bugzilla issue to track this.

EDIT: I did not mean clusters with remote nodes. I means completely separate clusters (with local nodes) managed from a single interface (possibly remote).

Thanks. Changing slightly the topic but not by a lot::

- is there any ways I could set up the keepalive packets to be extremely high times e.g. once/hour and the dead time (e.g. 3 packets missing to consider dead)?
- is there any way to automatically recover a node in the cluster when a communication is re-established?

Perhaps I can use cluster after all...

clustering requires a low-latency, stable link (and more than two nodes).
