Hello! Do you know if it's possible to have the 2FA codes in telegram (with a bot) rather than an authenticator app?
Same with any other external hosted authenticator like e.g. Bitwarden Vault to store TOTP codes, Azure/Google-based login etc .... I don't get why people are relying on stuff they cannot control.Imagine your cluster developed a network problem, but you can't log in to fix it, because the telegram servers are not reachable....
What about PVE accepting Passkeys for login? They are popping up at several places now. And the free KeepassXC and also my selfhosted Bitwarden can handle them.using 2FA via telegram is currently not possible and probably won't be in the future.
AFAIK, Keycloak is capable of passkey, so you could theoretically already do this. Haven't tried it though. What about PVE accepting Passkeys for login? They are popping up at several places now. And the free KeepassXC and also my selfhosted Bitwarden can handle them.
Yes? No? Timeframe?
Well, that link shows me a graph with something like an authentication proxy. If that is true... I do not like the idea to prepare and maintain an additional server for this...
