Hi,
We're using Proxmox for 1 year and it's great. Thank you !
But today we encountered one serious problem with installing Win2k8 R2.
The installer of win2k8 can't detect any drives, no matter if we use IDE, SCSI or VIRTIO.
All the time it starts installation and then display error about no discs (when disc is IDE or SCSI).
If we change to VIRTIO, we can load virtio drivers, the controller is detected, we click next
and then message "No discs detected" (but driver was found previously).
We tried on:
virtio-win-0.1-15.iso
virtio-win-0.1-mm34.iso
virtio-win-1.1.16.iso
All time same problem.
The more interesting thing is that we have actually one win28k installed (it was installed on 1.7)
and it still works, we just can't install another one. Same problem with win7, other windows not tested.
Tested with Linux and it works...
# pveversion -v
pve-manager: 1.9-24 (pve-manager/1.9/6542)
running kernel: 2.6.32-6-pve
proxmox-ve-2.6.32: 1.9-47
pve-kernel-2.6.32-4-pve: 2.6.32-33
pve-kernel-2.6.32-6-pve: 2.6.32-47
qemu-server: 1.1-32
pve-firmware: 1.0-14
libpve-storage-perl: 1.0-19
vncterm: 0.9-2
vzctl: 3.0.29-2pve1
vzdump: 1.2-16
vzprocps: 2.0.11-2
vzquota: 3.0.11-1
pve-qemu-kvm: 0.15.0-1
ksm-control-daemon: 1.0-6
Do you have any ideas ?
Regards,
Michu
