"PVE's LXC device passthrough configuration does not support PCI devices, akin to the passthrough available for VMs. It can only map devices via their dev path. How can a laptop's wireless card be directly mapped into an LXC container running OpenWRT or similar?"
Hi,
I have upgraded from pve 7 to pve 8. My vm will no longer start due to the following error. The vm is not using pci passthru.
kvm: -device pci-bridge,id=pci.1,chassis_nr=1,bus=pci.0,addr=0x1e: Bus 'pci.0' not found
start failed: QEMU exited with code 1
Is there a work round for this...
I have an older server: supermicro motherboard x9drx+-f that I'm running proxmox on. I have a similar older jbod that is connected via an adaptec 8405 raid controller. I'm attemping to pass the JBOD to a TrueNAS VM on the server using PCI passthrough but when I start the VM it crashes the whole...
I recently setup a new instance of Proxmox 8.2.2 after my Intel i5 10500 died on an AMD 5700UG based system and haven't had much luck getting iGPU transcoding working (so much easier on my old Core i5) so I opted to install an ASROCK Intel Arc A380 to do hardware transcoding in a kubernetes pod...
I have an NVIDIA Quadro K2000 that will work for a brief moment and then stop working via PCI passthrough, either through Windows or Linux. My latest attempts have been in Ubuntu 20.04 and 22.04 to get more detailed logging. This graphics card is not the primary one PVE used during install...
I have been digging around through various "Solved" similar issues but am having no luck on my own.

I had a roadblock today and figured it out, but I want to understand the difference. I configured now three systems with iommu and pci-passthrough. Everytime appending intel_iommu=on at /etc/kernel/cmdline was enough. Those were on a:
ASUS Prime Z590-P
MSI MEG Z590 ACE
ASUS B450M-K II

HELP Cant get this thing working.
Trying to get my NIC into a PFsense-OPNsense VM. Once I get the VM started without, but once I add any of the X520-DA4 ports to the VM it no longer starts. I am getting a QEMU error code 1. Other VM's I plan on adding, once I get the router going. IOMMU is...
Hello,
I am looking to virtualize an old industrial PC so we may update to a new operating system for security concerns. I am looking to see if Proxmox is the right solution for my problem, which requires a few odd, old things. Namely,
10 serial connections via RS232.
USB 1.1
32 bit software...
Hi all. I have two RTX3060s in my proxmox server. When I create a VM, both GPUs are present in the PCI Device drop down but the first GPU is the only one that is being assigned a IOMMU group. The second GPU is not being assigned a group. In the picture below the first GPU is at...
