    Design Advice: 4 Nodes cluster

Hello, I would like some advice as I m currently thinking about building a 4 nodes cluster. The machines are all Lenovo Thinkcenter M720q mini PCs. Each nodes has 32Gb RAM, 2x500Gb SSDs and 2xRJ45 ports. What would be the best configuration to maximise both usable disk space and high...

Networking speed issues: 1Gb/s instead of 2.5Gb/s

I ran a few test to see where there might be a problem: Just to explain: my server contains a motherboard with - Integrated 2.5Gbe NIC that I use for the bridge used by my LAN - Another 4 port 2.5GbE NIC in a PCI slot dedicated to my Opnsense VM - a 1GbE NIC dedicated to the bridge used by my...

Networking speed issues: 1Gb/s instead of 2.5Gb/s

I'm not willing to change MTU size to 9000 as all my network won't be complian and I'm not sure I need jumbo frames. I wonder if the problem isn't elsewhere. On a Windows VM on this bridge the NIC says 10Gb/s, but Iperf or speedtest still show 1Gb/s speed

Networking speed issues: 1Gb/s instead of 2.5Gb/s

If I try on the host It gives me TASK ERROR: netdev net0: MTU '9000' is bigger than the bridge MTU '1500' which is normal but I'm afraid to lose connectivity if I change it on the bridge

Networking speed issues: 1Gb/s instead of 2.5Gb/s

Hello everyone I have a 4 ports QNAP 2.5Gbits NIC that I passthrough my Opnsense VM and through that this VM is able to get an Internet speed of around 2.2/2.3Gbp/s so this is OK. On my Proxmox hypervisor i have another 2.5Gbp NIC that is used as a bridge for all LAN VMs. If i check with...

I think that will stay that way until I can buy a better MB. My bad for not checking this before buying. Do you know if there could be an impact on performances and stability though ?

[Solved] Asus TUF B550 Plus and IOMMU Groups

Yes I tried but it's a pcie 1x port and they are all in the same group. Passing the drives through qemu could be an option but not in this case as it's an OpenMediavault migration from physical to virtual and I need the disks untouched. If i attached them has virtual SCSI qemu drives the RAID...

[Solved] Asus TUF B550 Plus and IOMMU Groups

It's working ! Thanks for pointing out that /etc/kernel/cmdline wasn't all on a single line, that was it ! Now because I think this is not really secure I'd like to passthrough only one pci slot. Is it possible to have a IOMMU group for only one PCI slot instead of all ? I don't know if I'm...

[Solved] Asus TUF B550 Plus and IOMMU Groups

Thanks for the answer ! My kernel is PVE 5.4.101-1 But there seems to be a problem as you can see in my /proc/cmdline: initrd=\EFI\proxmox\5.4.101-1-pve\initrd.img-5.4.101-1-pve root=ZFS=rpool/ROOT/pve-1 boot=zfs It does not seems to reflect what I have in /etc/kernel/cmdline ?
