Trying to install Proxmox in Parallels on MacBook Pro M1

Thanks for your quick reply. It does look like Parallels offers an Ubuntu 22 x86 64-bit emulation version. What do you mean by "install Proxmox on top of it" ?

Trying to install Proxmox in Parallels on MacBook Pro M1

I have a MacBook Pro M1 (silicon chip) running Parallels Desktop app. I'm trying to create a Proxmox VM within Parallels, but not having any luck. I've read that Proxmox is not compatible with silicon chip, but wondering if there's anything I can do to make this work. Thank you for any input.

    [SOLVED] Cannot mount external drive

I'm trying to permanently mount an external drive to one of my Proxmox nodes. I added it to /etc/fstab, but when I run "mount -a", I get the following error: "mount: /mnt/externaldrive: unknown filesystem type 'extfat'." I tried installing/updating exfat-fuse and exfat-utils, but still same...

Restored a VM from backup, now is it possible to find/restore the older version?

I restored a VM from a backup and lost some data in the process (it's a mysql server). I'm trying to figure out if the VM's disk, prior to restore, is available anywhere. I found this directory /etc/lvm/archive but not sure if I'm on the right track. Any help is appreciated!

trying to open VM console - vncproxy connection timed out

I just ran apt "install proxmox-ve" and it told me "E: dpkg was interrupted, you must manually run 'dpkg --configure -a' to correct the problem."
