I'm already quite of options what to do next, I had a Server with working GPU passthrough (1050Ti) but I thought I want a new Thing also to game on and now it just not gonna work.
Hardware: Asrock B350 Pro4 Motherboard, 64GB RAM, i5 8600k, Zotac 1070 Mini, iGPU is still enabled in the BIOS...
Hi, I built a new computer, kind of a computation node for VMs for me.
if I use seabios everything is ok, if I use OVMF the VM doenst start with the error message:

TASK ERROR: start failed: command '/usr/bin/kvm -id 1122101 -name...
I've got to nodes in my homelab. If I try to migrate a running VM with an Virtio Interface the VM becomes unresponsive, not network, no console.
If I switch to E1000 networking it works.
Both nodes are running the latest pve-non-subscription updates.

FlexVDI sieht ja auch interesant aus, das wäre dann wohl eher nested ;)

I'm trying to passthrough an USB disk to my windows 10 guest.
After adding the disk it showed up in the disk list within proxmox and also stays there when I passthrough the USB device.
however info usb shows the external case:
Device 2.0, Port 4.1, Speed 5000 Mb/s, Product Backup+ Hub BK, ID: usb3
I never thought about drawbacks of cow on cow to be honest. Thanks for the clearification!.
Since I only use proxmox with my homelab (at work we use VMware) I maybe switch to ext4 for my proxmox drives.
for me the information is also not conclusive
