First I would like to say that ProxMox is awesome! There was some issues at the beginning but with the help of this community they were solved. Currently I'm running 8 windows machines and have an off site NFS backup on an old PC that runs FreeNas keeping my system snapshots. I do have a...

Serge, Do I have to mount the NFS? I guess I'm a little confused, I went into storage and added the NFS http://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Storage_Model#NFS_Share. But when I go and look at the summary it doesn't show as active. Thanks, Ethan

    Multiple Hardware RAID

Are EXT4 partitions limited in size? I have resized this partition in fdisk to +3072G but in fdisk and in ProxMox it shows 1TB. Thanks, Ethan

    Multiple Hardware RAID

Okay, I have to be doing something wrong. I just don't know what. I've used fdisk to create /dev/sdb1 @ +1000G. Used Parted to format it to ext4, then made the mount directory with mkdir -p /mnt/storage/images. Added that to fstab like so /mnt/storage/images /dev/sdb1 ext4 default 0 0...

    Multiple Hardware RAID

Thanks Marco! I found a tutorial on fdisk and partitioned the drive with it. I'm a little confused about LVM, I have 8 windows machines that I was going to use virtIO as it is defined as a best practice https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Windows_7_guest_best_practices. Should I use EXT3 file...

    Multiple Hardware RAID

Mir, It says quite a bit. Can't upload a screenshot, but it does show: Disk /dev/sda: 120 GB <-- I think this is the SSD's in RAID. Disk /dev/sdb: 4000.0 GB <-- My 8 1TB disks in RAID 10? Thanks, Ethan

Okay, So we are just going to purchase another RAID controller and setup the SSD's on it in a RAID 1. Then install Proxmox to that RAID, is there anything else that I should watch out for? Thanks, Ethan

    ProxMox Boot Problem

Udo, Yes they are a real RAID they are connected to the controller. I guess you are right, if one of the SSD's goes out I can always grab my backups and reinstall. Thanks, Ethan

    ProxMox Boot Problem

We purchased a Cybertron Magnum for our ProxMox install. It has a two 80 GB SSD's installed in RAID 1 as well as 8 1TB disks installed in a RAID 10. I seem to be experiencing an issue with the boot loader I chose one of the SSD's for the ProxMox install. The install failed at the "Make system...

    Backups

Serge, That's what I was wondering, I noticed that I could choose the /nfs location on the My Cloud, but I wasn't sure how this would affect the other backups that I have running on the My Cloud. I also wasn't sure how I could check to see if it was running and whether or not it was actually...
