    Extremely High Server Load

Top works, htop doesnt work, ps aux hangs and doesn't work. I have since restarted the pve node, but really want to figure this out. CPU usage was very low. Somehow the samba server dying has to be connected. What typically happens when a VM or LXC runs out of memory. Can it affect the whole...

    Extremely High Server Load

On one of my LXCs the samba service seems to fail. This was not happening before the upgrade and it is the same LXC and configuration as before. Wonder if that has something to do with it.

    Extremely High Server Load

Since I reinstalled to version 8 every once in a while my server load will go up like crazy and server will become half responsive. Wondering if anyone knows how I could trouble shoot this. CPU usage is not high. Just load. load average: 160.77, 161.06, 160.83

    Kernel Upgrade Help

Thanks I did get some ideas from that thread, but a lot I still don't understand. Particularly when does one install pve-headers, since I don't think my initial proxmox install has them for kernel 5.15.

[SOLVED] Windows Guest Install - Storage Options

I think I must be doing something wrong. The drivers are hidden for my hardware, I uncheck the hide option and install them but the drive still does not show up. The drive is a 1TB SSD connected to a SATA port. It has 3 existing partitions on it from a previous install, but I don't think that...

[SOLVED] Windows Guest Install - Storage Options

I am trying to figure out what are the storage options for installing a windows VM. I installed a 1TB SSD into the host computer and was hoping to run a Windows VM on that drive. Do I have to create an LVM storage and then create the VM to consume the entire LVM or is it possible to...

    System Setup Help

Thank you both. I think i'll do ZFS pools for both sets of drives on the host, then create an Open Media Vault container to manage the sharing. That way if i hate open media vault or the next thing I try the files are still good on the host. I'm not sure the Dell Vostro 570 motherboard can do...
