Hi Tom, I used the latest PVE 1.8-6070-5 ISO image, and the MD5sum was ok, too. The latest Intel BIOS 129 available for my DQ45CB is already installed. The memory test did not reveal any errors. I use an external (USB 2.0) NEC CD/DVD burner, which works ok for the installation of Ubuntu or...- proxmox

[workaround found] Installation stops with "ata1: SRST failed (errno=-16) Hello, my installation of PVE stops with "ata1: SRST failed (errno=-16) on an Intel DQ45CB mobo with 2 HDDs (with "AHCI" mode) attached and 4 GB.
