I've been having some super odd problems lately, which I thought were a one-off, but now, there is something seriously wrong.
Current state: I have one node newly added to a 5 node cluster. If I start corosync and pve-cluster on that node, within 60 seconds, it starts spamming TOTEM retransmit...
I'm starting to see random crashes with one of my VM's after upgrading to 8.x a few weeks ago. I thought it was maybe a one-off, but this one VM keeps crashing over and over. Prior to this, this particular VM had an uptime of months with constant use.
syslog on the proxmox server shows the...
I've been looking for some decent SATA SSD's for ceph. I don't even need alot of space, A pile of a a few 120GB or 250GB would be more than enough to move my IO intensive loads onto.
However, I really have no idea what to buy. I've seen a few people say this micron ssd or that one, but I can...
So I've installed PBS on a new server (physical), because the idea seems sound to me. This is basically a comparison, of my current setup, vs switching to PBS. I haven't decided what I'm going to do yet here...
Current Setup:
FreeNas with a NFS export for proxmox to backup into, and then...
I'm attempting to passthru a Logitech c270 webcam via SPICE USB redirection, and only getting a black video screen. The VM sees the device, for example, zoom knows the model and type, but the video feed is just black. Has anyone gotten this to work?
I'm wondering if I can add a server as a non-voting member of a cluster. I currently have a cluster of 5 machines, and want to build one more, that is more or less dedicated to running a specific application. However, I would like the ability to disk-migrate a VM over to the main cluster for...
I'm not 100% sure how to characterize this with data, but my ceph performance has become basically awful, after my upgrade from octopus to pacific. I've never had what I would call fast performance from the cluster, but it was fine for daily use. I would get alerts from zabbix about high IO...
I just upgraded my test LXC to debian 11 (bullseye) and am now getting the following issue in dmesg on my proxmox host. In addition, /run/user/0 is not mounting on the LXC:
audit: type=1400 audit(1629043770.101:649): apparmor="DENIED" operation="mount" info="failed flags match" error=-13...
I'm interested in installing a PBS server, but the majority of the data I want to backup is my FreeNAS pool. Does PBS have any facilities builtin to do ZFS snapshots? If it doesn't, is it at least possible to use it as a ZFS snapshot target from FreeNAS?
