Hello, I have a problem with disks passed to VM. VM is Linux with OMV installed on it. Disks are passed to VM. They're connected via LSI controller. Unfortunatelly my motherboard doesn't support IOMMU so I can't passthrough full controller - that's why disks are passed separately.
After upgrade...
Hi
I want to shrink LVM thin pool and make pve-root bigger. I can increase pve-root, so now the problem is how to decrease pve-data? It's fresh install, so it's completely empty, however it's already a member of cluster.
Maybe easiest would be to recreate smaller LVM thin?
But going into UI...
When I browse in UI a node of Proxmox and click "console" I'm automatically loggedin via SSH. Is it possibly to have the same for VM?
If I define Linux VM with certificate and no password, it's even worse - I cannot login via console, as It demands password. So VM console is of no use at all...
Hi
I'm trying to create VM with Debian. For LXC it's straigtforward - I see LXC template OOTB in UI, just downlooad it and it's done.
But I'm a little confused, which image should I choose for Debian as VM. There are ISO images in https://www.debian.org/distrib/netinst, but there are also...
Hi
I have 3 nodes Proxmox cluster. I've created one LXC container with the only responsibility being HAProxy for my cluster. It uses shared Ceph storage (each Proxmox node is Ceph node too). It has statically assigned IP, so it's irrelevant, on which node it runs - I can always access it via...
Hi
I've measured disk speed when mounted directly to proxmox:
root@silver:~# dd if=/dev/zero of=/mnt/xx/output.img bs=8k count=256k
262144+0 records in
262144+0 records out
2147483648 bytes (2.1 GB, 2.0 GiB) copied, 13.7445 s, 156 MB/s
Then I've run OMV VM and passed-through whole disk, mounted...
Hi
I want to build Kubernetes cluster on top of Proxmox. It's not decided if it'll be k8s, k3s or any other flavor of Kubernetes.
Now I'm looking for best OS for Kubernetes node.
First choice:
- LXC - I tend to use LXC, as it's my private cluster, so security is not a big concern. I also think...
Hi
I'm coming from Docker, so I'm new to LXC containers and Proxmox. I have Galera MariaDB cluster - on each Proxmox node sits LXC with MariaDB. Now I want to make it accessible under single domain/IP. I see two possibilities:
- use DNS name with multiple IPs assigned. As I know, every time DNS...
I've installed Proxmox on top of Debian and now I lack LVM Thin. Now I can't create VM with local storage. Is it possible to simple recreate it somehow? Or the easiest way is to simply reinstall this node?
