One thing I've been nervous about since building my cluster is that I used very simple passwords on each server and used the same password when joining nodes. I'm nervous that changing the host passwords will somehow cause a problem with the cluster.

So pretty much nothing more than I'm doing as it is. I figured there might be some other things like updating the OS (which I do), updating the qemu guest agent now and then and some other housekeeping tasks for the OS itself. Sounds good, thanks for the input.

I got to work this morning to find that all of the backups failed across 4 nodes. I read that 'backup is sparse means something like a VM that takes 100GiB of space, contains 50GiB of zeros and is not unusual, maybe related to thin provisioning. When I used proxmox to convert the vm, I entered both disks into the command as shown above. Do you mean I should have exported the vm and the first disk as one vmdk and the second disk as it's own vmdk?
